Mission Statement
The Christian Service Commission exists to develop programs or actions that help parishioners become aware of human needs and to respond in the name of Christ. This is done in two ways: through direct service (works or mercy), and through action for change (works of justice). The commission develops leadership, fosters a sense of community, provides education regarding the baptismal call to ministry, and encourages action which serves the broader community, as well as the parish. The Commission is founded on the Gospel mandates of Christ and the entire spectrum of Catholic social teaching.
Join us!
Opportunities to live out our discipleship through Christian Service are many and varied, and your presence is greatly appreciated. Our members absolutely love newcomers! Meetings are generally on the third Thursday of the month, at 1:00 pm, in the Youth Center Gathering Space (Wake Room). Come see what God might be calling you to do!
