Habitat for Humanity

Help the Macomb Habitat for Humanity build a house for a low-income family. Habitat is a non-profit Christian housing ministry seeking to eliminate substandard housing and homelessness. It makes decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.

Church groups work at nearby sites on various schedules, usually on weekends during the warmer months. The amount of hours you put in during the day is up to you. If you sign up for this ministry, the facilitator will let you know well in advance when a team is needed.

Any and all skill levels in carpentry, painting, landscaping, etc. are welcome. Expert construction leaders and professional subcontractors provide guidance on site.  All tasks are subject to schedule/weather conditions. All Volunteers must be at least 16 and if under 18, be accompanied by an adult. For more info see www.macombhabitat.org.
